This is quite interesting .. a long favorite. just got it on the blog now! ..its interesting the way corporates can be credited for the salvation and creation of the same problem.
direct2dell, Dell's blog generates 3.5 m page views a month, their innovation community generated 7000 ideas, 500,000 votes and has around 1200 rss subscribers ... the blog was launched about 2 years back and comes as a very successful intiative compared to many other corporates still strugglingt to define what there social media properties should stand for? but most are found ranting around page views..

This occured to me while working on social media marketing plans of some companies: ALL BUSINESS IS NOW THE ENTERTAINMENT BUSINESS.
That's how I believe the web is changing the business and I say this from a very marketing perspective. Businesses are increasingly trying to engage their 'audiences' with their propositions, but interestingly enough most seem to be doing quite a pathetic job of being entertainers. Of course it's asking the uptight, straight faced executive to dance like a ladyboy in a crazy attire...it has to take time for them to come upto speed...

An interesting social media campaign by orange that asks users to post its content on their social networking profile pages like facebook, my space etc...but the it doesn't seem to show the content unless one has gotten it on their profile ..this seems a bit weird, the page also scrolls down to infinity and creates a usability issue there, even when wanting to get back!
One of the few non US internet brands, this one is German and is close to what delicious does - Social Bookmarking. The name though has had its controversy in the US!
